Oldsmobile 442 19870000 Description
Exterior: Black Interior: Gray Options: Power Windows Power Locks Power Steering Power Brakes Air Conditioning Rear Defrost Highest Grade Factory Radio Available Power Driver’s Seat Tilt Wheel Rally Gauge Package Bucket Seats Console Cruise Control Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel Condition: This is an all original car with me being the third owner. It was purchased as a birthday present from husband to wife. After he died she wouldn’t part with it for many years. After purchasing the car the mechanicals were repaired and I have been driving it ever since. This is the nicest driving “G Body” that I have ever owned without question. If my ’84 H/O didn’t need restoration I would certainly keep this car. No repaint no wrecks just sun faded and checked. The car has crystal clear glass and perfect moldings. It will need very minimal body work and paint to be a beautiful car again. What I Have Replaced: - I have replaced the tires with the correct 215-65-15 white letters that are so appropriate. -I replaced the exhaust from and including the catalytic converter back with Walker parts just as original. (GM used Walker Exhaust on all 80’s factory cars) -I replaced the sagging headliner with a new preassembled unit from PUI in the correct medium gray color. -I had the original steering wheel restored with new leather by a professional restoration company whose name I can provide upon request. What It Needs: The carpet is faded around the factory GM floor mats. It is still very presentable but is starting to show its age. -The car needs to be stripped down and painted. It has zero floor rot zero trunk rot but is beginning to show “G Body” signs at the bottom of the driver’s side door and the leading edge of the hood. These are the only two spots of rust which for a Cincinnati car that is exceptional. Reason for Selling: I have other Oldsmobile’s that are in need of restoration and I have had them longer. On Jun-10-15 at 13:38:46 PDT seller added the following information:Just so you all know the reserve is less than $5000....I will be adding trunk back seat and under hood pictures tonight or tomorrow.
