Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight 1953 Description
This awesome 303 cubic inch ROCKET V-8 has been owned by me for 30 yrs.VIN # 539K9137
This car is a real head-turner!!! Her speedometer shows 40,252 miles. It has power steering and power brakes. While it did have the Factory A/C main unit (which was located in the trunk), t no longer does. However, he dash and ceiling vents are A/C ready with all the tubing. I've driven and restored most of this car myself since I was a body & fender technician,BTW--NO Bondo. This car is always garage kept. All parts are new or restored and come with the car. The ROCKET ran but developed a bent valve guide, hich I have a new one. The 303 ROCKET & Hydromatic are out of the car as a result.
POR-15 and Duraliner was applied to the entire under carriage to preserve its beauty. Most of the chrome and stainless trim have been replaced or redone. It is only missing 2 minor pieces of chrome--one on the driver's side between the doors and the other on the left front under the headlamp. Only other item missing is the jack.
Though the car is not the original color, t was unchanged before I bought it 30 yrs ago. Still, he body has no rust. Side pipes are ornamental. The tires are OEM with wheel covers that are like new. The interior is all original except for a newer stereo in the glove box. The trans lever was moved to the floor for fun. The gas tank was removed and drained, hen reinstalled. The car comes with all keys and the MOTORS MANUAL plus the shop manual specific to this car.
This is a partial restoration which requires just a bit of knowledge and TLC. I am selling this cruiser as is (75%) restoration due to health reasons.
A car like this at this price is a great opportunity for someone wanting have fun in style.
