1961 Oldsmobile 88 Nine Passenger LimoThis 1961 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight (chassis 612H55042) is an airport service car that was converted by Cotner-Bevington, a coachbuilder that specialized in Oldsmobile professional cars. Said to have been restored by a PO in the 1990’s, the car was repainted after the seller’s acquisition and is also said to run and drive well. White stripe tires and custom hubcaps were sourced by the seller and are well chosen. As for paint, the light rose color looks like it could be a period offering and the silver metal flake roof was sprayed with over seven coats. While the car is claimed to be virtually rust-free, the ad does note that corrosion is present around the edges of the bumpers which have been touched up with chrome paint. Door jambs were left alone during the respray but some touch-up paint for the exterior color is said to be included, . The dash itself looks great, though the.Featuring a high compression 394 Skyrocket V8 and automatic transmission, the car is described as an excellent driver. Though the battery and water pump have been replaced, the seller recommends that the brake booster be rebuilt. Note the Cotner-Bevington data tag on the radiator support.
