Oldsmobile Other 1937 Description
This is for a 1937 4-Dr sedan with 'limousine privacy glass' in back and rear side windows. The shifter has been moved from floor to steering column and is a V8 engine versus original stock engine. Passenger side has a small leak in seal of valve cover gasket. Rear fenders and trunk of vehicle was exposed to a small forest fire, but fortunately US Forest Service got to the brush behind the vehicle before vehicle was totally destroyed; a totally new paint job is required, was Sapphire Black, but never rubbed out. Trunk has had a welded insert of steel on the bottom to replace original which was worn and damaged. Interior needs to have upholstery redone as mohair upholstery is falling apart.Vehicle was husbands project but he passed away in 2000 and vehicle has been parked since 2001.Vehicle needs a home and a buyer who will appreciate it's old charm.Bought a new battery a few years ago, but it is also now dead. Buyer will pick up after a visual and after all DMV paperwork is cleared.Payment will require fund clearance; either need to be cash or irrevocable transfer of funds and sufficient time for fund clearance as well as timeto arrange a DMV appointment in Gilroy, CA for title transfer.Since vehicle is over 25 years of age, vehicle may qualify as historic vehicle, but with engine change, may not qualify.Seller will accept vehicle on site or not and if accepted, will be responsible for all DMV transfer fees and sales tax for California. If buyer wants to transport vehicle on transport trailer, buyer must bring proof of transport vehicle to DMV meeting, so vehicle is not operated without license plates on California roadways. While in a shop in San Jose, shop was unaware of license plates at home as I was a VIN Verifier, and without permission rebuilt the transmission. This resulted in notification to California Bureau of Automotive Repair and I agreed to pay only for parts that were removed and replaced during unauthorized task.Shop even told us we could not take car out of shop without plates and current tags; but, surprise...I had both and vehicle was driven away. There arepartsinside vehicle in a large box or loose. Buyer will pay for any requests or changes and all transportation fees for vehicle.First three photos are current; all others are back as far as 1985. All receipts for vehicle available for inspection by buyer. Please send any questions you have via eBay message center.
