Mercury Monterey 1953 Description

clean solid 1953 Merc. car came from North Dakota to Canada in late 80's and was garage kept until last 3 years.
the good:

• The body is solid for what it is, needs a couple patches not full floors, quarters, ect ect like they typically do
• car is very complete - minus the engine
• has new gas tank and sender installed
• all the brakes are new.
• new master cylinder installed

what the car needs:

• a couple body mounts are rusty.
• previous owner put home made rockers on, I'm not happy with it so for the low cost of good repro rockers I would replace them
• needs a couple small floor patches
• needs an engine. the flathead was removed by previous owner and long story short, not available when I bought car

I bought the car to make a sunvalley out of it but the deal on a completeglassroof fell through. I would love to keep but I have lined up a nice sunvalley project car I would prefer to do.
Iwill assist with shipping and paperwork required to get car through customs for US buyers, it is a very easy process and inexpensive.
