Jeep CJ 1981 Description

This is a NO RESERVE auction, o take a look around eBay and get an idea of what you think fair-market value is.

This is a really nice, estored CJ7. It might also be the quickest CJ on the market. It's got about 1000 miles on the rebuild, ith a built 304 cubic inch V8. It's got a high performance cam, delbrock intake, 50 CFM Edelbrock carburetor, nd a new HEI distributor. Mash the pedal on the right and acceleration is violent.

The body is in great condition. It is the all-metal original. No bondo or filler. Everything was professionally prepped and painted last summer. It looks really nice. It’s sharper than you’re typically going to find on a CJ. The underbody is nice and solid, nd the frame is nice and clean.

Everything runs, rives, nd functions well. It has Hedman headers, nd a really nice Borla exhaust set up. It sounds really strong and aggressive.

The interior is nice. It has a newer set of BestTop seats, atching BestTop center console, nd a new back seat cover. The floor has aRhino-lined typecovering.

The CJ comes with a full hard top, ull soft top, couple of different bikini tops, ard doors, oft doors, nd soft half-doors. Each are in good working order, nd all of the tops are in great shape. It's got a chrome kit on the engine, hrome wheels, hrome exhaust tips,etc. It also has a brand-new 12,000 lb winch, ith remote. The tires are nice 33” BF Goodrich Mud-Terrains, n great shape. All of the lights and gauges work.

I’ve tried to make sure that the CJ is in top condition. This summer, ’ve put on a new HEI distributor, ew ignition, ew fuel filters, ew fuel regulator, nd a new fuel pump. I’ve put on less than 250 miles this year, hough, nd with a newborn at home the prospects of getting to use it more don’t look good.

Overall, his is a really nice, reat-running vehicle. You can't findmanyCJs of this vintage, articularly set up like this one. I’ve had trailer queen CJ7s and CJ8s. There are no known substantive issues, ut this is not a $25,000 nut-and-bolt rotisserie that you can’t bring yourself to drive for fear of road rash. In my opinion, his is much more enjoyable. It is a unique daily driver (if you’re not the suit and tie type, ike me), r really cool weekend toy. It’s been built to drive and enjoy.
