This Grand Wagoneer was sold and put into service as new on 11-13-85. It was sold to a resident of Cherryville. NC. This person drove the vehicle 43. 89 miles and then sold it to a person in Shelby. NC. The second owner kept the Jeep from 8-31-1988 till 6-12-2014. Twenty six years owned by one person. The jeep was driven from 1988 to 2004 approximately 114. 00 miles. It was serviced with regular maintenance. About 138. 00 miles it was necessary to rebuild the engine. The owner had a local garage do a professional rebuild on the engine. Today the engine has just over 20. 00 miles on it. It runs great. Around 2004. the second owner bought a pickup truck. His kids had grown up and he did not need the four doors and extra room. So. for the last ten years the Jeep has set in his back yard. driven only about 1. 00 miles in ten years. It was exposed to the elements and started to show weather worn. paint fading. wood grain peeling. overall just looking bad. Because I have driven Jeeps since the late 1960’s. Works as designed. with fluids checked and linkages lubricated. You can stay in the Selec-Trac four wheel drive mode for as long as you like without excessive wear on front drive components. Additionally. it has a Low range. neutral. and for the everyday driving. a High range. In the neutral position. the Jeep can be towed behind another vehicle without damage to the running gear. Power Steering Works great. Power Brakes The front brakes have new pads. new calipers. new hoses and turned rotors. Rear brake shoes are 90%. Power Windows The window tracks have been cleaned and lubricated and all work fast. New window wipes installed. both inside and outside. Windshield and gasket are new. Windshield New Windshield and windshield gasket. and new windshield wipers. Power Door Locks All door locks work. both from drivers side or passenger side.
