GMC Sierra 1500 1986 Description
For sale is a 1986 GMC Sierra Classic 1500 with a 4. 3l v6 Vortec engine (first or second year of this engine). Behind it is a 700r4 automatic transmission (with overdrive). The 4. 3l in a full size truck of this year is somewhat a rare combo. as I have yet to see another like it. The paint is Copper Canyon/Tan two-tone. In Regards To Condition: The 4. 3l engine has seen better days. Oil is currently leaking in the front right cylinder causing it to misfire on that cylinder when the spark plug finally gets fouled. Was running decent before-hand. Engine starts and idles and drives. I have driven it over 500 miles within the past 6 months. but it may finally be time for either a rebuild or a 350. I was quoted at $1200 for a rebuild but I do not have the money. Have put a decent amount into this truck to be dependable but now I need another vehicle. Paint is very nice. MINOR rock chips at bottom. they are pictured. NO RUST. Bumpers are pretty much brand new. Interior is original as far as I know and looks great besides cracked dash which is common. Seat has no tears at all and looks new. carpet isnt bad. all gauges work. all lights work. New Insterstate heavy duty megatron plus ii battery. Has rochester 4 barrel q-jet. Exhaust is like new. Bottom undercoated. 4x4 works. 700r4 4-speed Automatic Transmission shifts smooth. Still has original build sheet. 3. 73 rear. TIRES ARE LIKE NEW. Very little wear. Bottom line this truck could be anything you want it to be. It has the nice body so no need to screw around with anything like that. Basically drop a motor in it and go. Or run it til it dies. Would recommend having it shipped or picked up. Not saying it couldn't make it. but might not be a fun drive. This could be a show truck without a doubt in my mind. I have seen these sell for 13k. This one has it all besides minor cosmetics and the nice new engine. Or get a rebuild and have a NICE original classic for under 10kengine comparison from same year:4. 3l v6 ----- 155hp 230lb-ft5. 0l v8 ----- 155hp 240lb-ft5. 7l v8 ----- 175hp 275lb-ft500 dollar deposit due within 48 hours of winning bid.
