GMC Sierra 1500 1972 Description
1972 GMC 4X4 Shortbed, riginal to my knowledge except the engine. Great Summer Project. The Wife says it has to go. I was told it was a police truck at one time but cannot confirm that. Straight 6- 4.1 liter, think, 36k original miles. Manual shift, o power steering. New gas tank and good battery. Runs, ut lower thermostat housing is rusted out so the engine leaks water. Probably could drive it on a car hauler, ut suggest a winch. New disk brake pads, ut probably needs bleeding out. Typical body rust see pics. I’ve owned it since 1989. It has a few dings but not serious. All the parts are there and in tact. Front bumper is bent. Trailer hitch. Everybody knows these Classic American. I hate to sell it but I don’t have a shop. Never had any body work to my knowledge. It’s been a great truck except the engine. Obviously needs a new 350. It’s always had a 6 cyl. so it has not been beat. Not sure what else to say except you would have a hard time finding one in original condition. The rust is going to be a problem. Camper shell goes with it. Yes, have the key. Buyer must arrange and pay for shipping. This truck will take some work but would be great cruising Main, r camping,
