Ford Mustang 1980 Description

NOT A MUSTANG, IT IS A 1980 RALLYE PINTO (eBay does not have a pinto in their vehicle model section) disregard a mustang.

I am selling my 1980 Ford Pinto Rallye, the car itself is rare and has no rust nor ever has been hit since I have owned it. The paint is good, some minor chips. The car is a nice cruiser with very little miles put on it. Two hoods are included in case you want to cut one to fit the tunnel ram and carbs. It is painted Wimbledon white with blue pearl in the clear. The Rallye package includes front and rear spoilers, disc brake coolers and, Rallye gauges. The wheels are E-T 5 spoke units, front 14”x 6.5” (P19570R14) and rear are 14”x 8” (P24560R14) with tires. The front suspension was upgraded with a Mustang II V-8 sway bar and coil springs and retains the factory manual rack and pinion steering, power brakes. It has also been converted to a 5 lug pattern with 12” front rotors and GM calipers and the rear end has 10”drum brakes mounted on a narrowed 9” housing with Strange 31 spline axles, 471:1 gears, and a Detroit locker. The engine was professionally built by Terry Walters Precision Engines (http://www.waltersengines/). The engine is a manufactured Boss 302 not original factory built. Hence the name bogus Boss that made 415HP at 64,000R PMs with 347 ft-lbs of torque at 6,000. The Bogus Boss engine was built using a 1980 302 block, early 302 crank, polished 289 rods with ARP bolts, Boss 302 4 bolt caps, Boss heads, Boss pistons making 12:1 compression, and a Weiand Boss tunnel ram with two Holley 600 carbs, a Mallory Unilite Distributor, an electric Holley fuel pump, and dual electric fans and has not over heated. It has a power Master Alternator with a serpentine belt, Oldsmobile cross flow radiator and 2 electric cooling fans one controlled by a thermostat and one by a switch. The headers are custom made and coated with 1 ¾” primary tubes and 2 ½ “collector pipes which are connected to Flowmaster mufflers that sounds awesome. The narrowed 9” rear end is connected to a World Class T-5 five speed transmission, line lock, Sun Tach; with Lake Wood latter traction bars. The car is now a two seater with gray late model Mustang seats and the factory painted portions of the interior are painted with Flexstone gray/black/white paint. The battery is where the rear seat was located in a covered compartment with the stereo power amplifier, supporting the Sony AM/FM Cassette player, speaker bass box is in the rear trunk area above the custom made stainless baffled; gas tank that holds 15.5 gallons. This car has no additional frame modifications. This is not a race car, but is fun to drive, will smoke the tires, has way more power than necessary and, is great to drive around and cruise on the highway. It comes with two hoods.

It is in great running condition and draws a crowd everywhere it goes. The asking price doesn’t the cover what was spent in the engine, transmission and, running gear.
