Ford E-Series Van 1985 Description
Has factory A/C that turns on and blows air but not cold, compressor is working but I think it needs recharge. Cruise control worked until the button fell out of the steering wheel. Fog lights on the front have not worked in the three years I have owned it. Needs an idler arm for the steering, has a slight pull to the right. Couple other very minor issues, like door hinges need slight adjustment so doors close perfect again. Small cracks in passengers side dash, due to removing the dog house over the years. Things like that. The new things on the van are. The windshield 2 years ago, The altenator 2 years ago, The Starter 1 year ago. Valve cover gaskets 6 months ago, 3 out of the four tires are just over a year old. (One was stolen over night). Stereo system was installed by Best Buy 2 years ago. Has a Cd player that will do mp3's and also has usb slot and head phone jack. Has built in CB that works. The driver seat is powered. Has power windows and locks. Also has a third really bright reverse light on driver side, for backing trailers in the dark. The out side of the engine is not the cleanest but when the valve covers were replaced the inside has no carbon build up. The car lot I bought it from claimed it had been stored in a garage for 20 years, I still have the ad saved on my computer, or you can look it up google the van and bernies motors in grand rapids mi. Has small exhaust leak by the engine, but the exhaust was installed not long after I got the van, about 3 years ago, still like new. The front and rear brakes were done just over a year ago, including new calipers in the front. I think the rear wheel cylinders also but can't remember for sure. They still work just as good as the day they were done. Has a Reese style hitch and six way plug on the back for towing. The tinted window just behind drivers door has one of the glass panes replaced with plexi glass. Same night we lost the tire. Doesn't leak even in the car wash, and it's hard to tell unless your right next to it. It has an air lift system on it but it caused a short so I disconnected it. Perfect vehicle for restoring or ready to dive. I will be happy to answer any questions that I can.
