This is a 1984 Ford F150 Shortbed Stepside, Cummins Diesel Powered pick up Truck.-Proffesionally upgraded from a V-8, 5.0 gas engine to a 3.4 liter, Turbocharged in line 6 cylinder diesel engine by Cummins.California adult owned and operated since new.-According to Auto Check the average score on this type of truck ranges between 42-64, this truck received a high score of 53
This Ford F150 Stepside runs, drives and accelerates extremely well with a tremendous amount of power.The A series 3.4 liter, Turbocharged, 6 cylinder Cummins engineidles properly and runs clean and smooth. The transmission shifts easily through the gears and on time without any slipping or lurching.This truck feels solid and tight.Itis a absolute pleasure to drive.....we are certain the new owner/operator will agree...
-The engine compartment is very clean and well sorted (good hoses belts, etc)-Super reliable Cummins engine has no issues and runs like a top, impressive!!!!!!!!-Always runs at cool temperatures (well below the halfway mark).-Brakes, steering and suspension are in tip top condition-All mechanical and electrical systems are all in proper working order-All gauges readaccurate readings-Stock wheels/hubcaps, tires will need replacement soon
Cosmetically this truck has an honest look. The paint is original and does have various imperfections (mostly clearcoat peeling), but overall it looks very respectable for a work horse. There are some blisters and mild corrosion around the water channels on the roof and cab corners (see pics).
-100% rust free chassis and frame. As with any 30+ year old un-restored vehicle you will find variousnicks, scratches, touch ups, clear coat peeling, paint chips dings, fading, hazing, etc.-No accidents (Auto Check report available upon request)-Good weather-stripping and seals.-Cracked windshield-The original wooden bed could be really nice once refinished
The interior is in good overall condition, showing normal wear, fading, discoloration, etc. (see pics).-The original dash shows in good condition-The headliner will need to be redone or left as it is.-The door panels are fair, with minimal scuffs, etc.-The carpet is free of any rips only discoloration and normal wear-The bench seat surface is in great shapeDue to the age of the Truck and a five digit odometer we cannot verify the reading of 70,231 miles on the odometer as actual or correct.
This interesting Ford F150 Short bed Step side diesel is turn key and and ready to go...... It looks, runs and drives well. With some minimal cosmetic tlc this truck could be a show stopper and the fact that its a diesel is really cool.....
