Ford Other 1950 Description
My family and I have enjoyed this Shoebox for 3 years, and with two of my children grown, I am ready for something different. I would consider this car an 8 footer, it's nice enough to take to any cruise or show but not so nice you are afraid for someone to touch it. The flathead V8 with an Offenhauser aluminum intake and Edelbrock 4 barrel floats effortlessly down the road thanks to the 3spd OD transmission donated from a f-150. The paint shines really nice but it does have some cracking and places it has lifted along with a scratch on the bottom of the passenger door. The chrome is there but the bumpers are showing their age. I do have a dent free bumper and a box of original parts that the buyer can have if he picks the car up. Although not really noticeable, the door jambs are a dark maroon color but the car had been painted black before I purchased it. The car has been converted to 12V with a complete new wiring harness and fuse panel. The speedometer does not function along with the other gauges in that cluster except for the fuel gauge which works. Aftermarket gauges have been installed and work. The vacuum wipers work along with the headlights, tail lights, dash lights and interior light. All the glass is good except for a crack in the passenger window. The car is iPhone/iPod ready with a amp mounted under the seat and volume control mounted on the drivers side. The wide white wall tires are new with less than 100 miles on them. The car currently sets on Cadillac springs in the front and 3" lowering blocks in the rear. It also has air shocks on the rear with a compressor in the trunk and controls in the glove box. The seats are hole free but the springs seem weak compared to today's cars. The headliner is nice and the carpet is acceptable but I did plan to change it this winter. The car is 67 yrs old and not perfect by any means but is nice, a joy to cruise in and looks sweet going down the road. Older men are always looking at it and telling me about the one they owned and the older women always look at the back seat! Ha, I don't know why. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early. I have tried to be as honest as possible in my description and everything except the front and rear plates go. I have no idea how many miles are currently on the vehicle and merely put 100 to meet eBay's requirements. Please message me if you have questions or would like more pictures.
