Ford F-100 1946 Description
Up for no reserve is a 46 Ford 1/2 ton pickup. This pickup is very solid! The only spots of rust are on drivers front fender, and a small spot on the box side post! The floorboards are in great shape, ( a little goofy looking where they plugged the old shifter hole). The cab corners and cowl are real nice as well. Somebody spot welded a piece of tin in the bed, but underneath the wood bed is still visible and looks decent. The pickup was built many many years ago. And has sat for many many years as well. Somebody pulled the front clip off, but it looks like everything is there to put it back on except the grill bars and some of the hood trim. The whole front clip does fit really nice in the bed for shipping. They also had a three light taillight system set up on it and have been removed but the holes are still there. In it is 1957 Chevy 283 Block number 3731548, and a block suffix code of FC, and is stuck. The valve covers are 57-59 Corvette valve cover, (drivers side number 3726086, did not pull the passenger side). I can't be for sure if the engine came out of a Corvette or not. Both car and Vette used that same block number, and all I can find on the suffix is that it is a 4bbl engine. So I am assuming that they oddly used that suffix in both car and Vette. IF THIS IS NOT TRUE PLEASE DON'T BOMBARD ME WITH EMAILS TELLING ME I AM WRONG!! The transmission is a Muncie 4spd with a Hurst shifter! The cast number of 3885010 means it is either a 66 or 67, either a M20 or M21. The rear end looks to be a Dana 44, the Dana 44 is the only rear housing shaped like that that I can find. THIS PICKUP COMES WITH A CLEAR TITLE IN MY NAME! This is a nice truck that would make an easy project!
