Ford F-150 1992 Description
This very nice 1992 F150 XLT flareside short bed is a rust-free survivor originally from Arizona. It has been used as a show truck in classic car shows, and has won numerous trophies including several for 1st place. It has the reliable 4.9 inline 6 cylinder engine with a manual transmission(4spd with overdrive). It runs and drives excellent and there are no mechanical problems. The engine compartment has been completely detailed, and it has many new parts under the hood including:power steering pumppower steering linesradiatorall coolant hosesalternatorstarterstarter solenoidbattery(Ford Motorcraft)battery cablesplugs/wiresserpentine beltall AC system components(AC has been converted over to 134a, and it blows ice cold)brake master cylindermost vacuum lines
The interior is in very good condition. The seat has no rips or tears, and the dash and door panels are very nice as well. It does not have the typical fading/cracking usually seen on interiors of Arizona vehicles. The original carpet is nice, too. This truck has most available power options for the year: power windows, power door locks, cassette, tilt wheel, power lumbar seat, and gauge cluster with tachometer. All of the power options work fine. This has been a non-smokers vehicle.
The undercarriage has been cleaned and detailed, and there is NO rust. The undercarriage was hand painted with POR 15 rust resistant type paint. Also, it has a new muffler and tailpipe.
It haswhite letter tires and aftermarket black powder coated 15 inch wheels with chromebeauty rings and center caps for anice classic look. The tires only have about 7000 miles on them.
The body/paint is all original and has not been restored. There is absolutely no rust. There are a couple of minor dents; one on the passenger side door, and one on the drivers' side back of the cab. Unfortunately the truck was "keyed" back in the late 90s, so there are some scratches on the sides that have been touched-up with the correct oxford white paint. The are also a few small paint chips here and there that have been touched up. The original paint still has a beautiful shine; and there is no fading, peeling, or oxidation... that is why I opted not to have these flaws fixed. They are only original once!
Overall this is a great classic truck, and there aren't many left that have survived in this kind of condition. It has always been garage kept since it's been in Illinois, and it only gets driven on sunny summer days. I believe that I am the third owner and I've had it for the past 12 years or so, but it's time to move on. I can email more detailed photos of anything on the truck. As for payment, I only accept cash or cashier's check...sorry no Paypal.
May consider trading for a 1973-79 Ford pickup in similar condition. It has to be a regular cab, and preferably a long bed with two-tone paint.
