Ford Mustang 1968 Description
It's with a heavy heart that I list this great piece of American history, my 1968 289 V-8 Mustang, to be auctioned off to go on to it's new family.
The car came to me with very low miles and I didn’t add to much to it as its 2nd owner. The car has 16,938 original miles currently on the odometer. The car has always been garage kept with the only modifications being a 4 barrel carb with a high rise intake manifold and disk break conversion that was done this year. I have the stock manifold and original blue air cleaner that I will send with the car.
The exterior of the car has one spot of rust under the vinyl top close to the back window. There is also a small dent in the front corner of the hood, which can be repaired easily, just never got around to it. I’d say the paint is daily driver condition with some slight blemishes here and there, but a magnet will stick to ever square inch of this car as no major body work was ever required. The interior of the car is in great condition, with the only real blemish being a few rips in the driver seat, back seats and passenger seats are in perfect condition.Stock A/C that blows cold and was just recharged 3 months ago. All gauges are in working order with new fuel regulator. I upgraded the radio to a Retrosound radio with quarter panel speakers which gives you great sound while cruising around. Steering wheel has been updated with a classic wood wheel, but have the stock wheel I will send with it.
Attached is a detailed Marti report that goes into detail on the actual build of the car and I will include it with the sale of the car.
Best of luck to all of you bidding on this great car, its going to be hard to let this one go. Good luck! Please email me with ANY and ALL questions PRIOR to bidding.I am NOT a body guy nor am I a mechanic, I just love to drive old classic cars with my family!
Thank you and GOOD LUCK!
