1966 Ford Mustang GT350

For sale is a beautifully restored 1966 mustang Gt350 clone (original GT California car). This mustang has been restored from the ground up and has less than 1000 miles since completion! This shelby Gt350 mustang is turn key and ready to drive around town, across the interstate, or cruise to a local car show.

Before restoration

This is the real deal original CA car Gt A code fastback. Original signal flare red car with black pony interior, c4 automatic transmission, disk brakes, power steering, and AC. built on January 6 1966 in san Jose, and sent to Los angeles (DSO 71) where it has lived all of its life in Los Angeles/ southern CA ( believed to be 94,xxx original miles). The body was in amazing condition when purchased with only small patch panels needed on the floor pans. Original red oxide primer from the factory can still be seen on the interior floor pans. Also can be seen when undercoating is scratched off underneath the car.

Paint

2 stage paint job, base coat/ clear coat signal flare red. Clear coat was color sanded by hand up to 3000 grit before buffing with 3m rubbing compound and polish. Overall great condition with a few small blemishes shown in photos. much nicer than driver quality but not show quality.

interior

All new black pony deluxe interior. New carpet, underlayment, upholstery, door panels, headliner, glove box, steering wheel etc etc everything new

engine

Rebuilt matching numbers 289 with a mild cam, edelbrock aluminum rpm performer intake, holley 4 barrel carb.

Transmission

Rebuilt c4 automatic

Rear end

rebuilt factory 8” rear, 28 spline axles, 3.25 posi.

Brakes

Power disk brakes up front with rebuilt rear drums, all new brake lines, fluid, and dual master cylinder

Suspension

brand new Scott drake upper and lower control arms, kyb gas adjust shocks on all 4 corners. Scott Drake progressive rate 1” drop front coil springs and new 4 leaf gt leaf springs

Cooling

All new cooling system, heavy duty 3 row radiator, waterpump, and thermostat. Runs cool, no overheating issues.

Options

Power disk brakes, power steering, AC. please note AC is not connected, needs lines run to the condenser (included) and to be charged.

Electrical

All new factory correct wiring harnesses, new engine gauge harness, taillight harness, headlight harness, starter solenoid, voltage regulator, battery, starter etc etc

Exhaust

factory GT exhaust with trumpets exiting the rear valence
