Ford Thunderbird 1967 Description
Make us an offer!! You never know!!Available for sale to the public for the first time. We acquired this beautiful 2-owner 1967 Thunderbird from the estate of the long term second owner. This is truly a well preserved survivor car. We have over 400 pictures of all most every inch of this vintage classic. This car will no doubt be a survivor class show contender at any local car show the day you receive it.
Here's what we know about the car. The car was sold new locally by Fred Ford Auto Sales in Blountville, Tennessee on December 17th, 1966. The second owner purchased the car from the original owner in the early 1980's. All the original keys, owner's manual and driver guide are with the car. Service records from a local Ford dealer document the mileage in 1981 at 7,511 miles. The current mileage is 16,619 miles. We believe this is actual mileage given the known history and actual physical condition.
This is a 2-Door Landau model with Power Steering, Power Brakes, Front Disc Brakes, 390 cubic inch Z Code 4 barrel, 3-Speed C-6 automatic and air condition. The car runs as good as it looks, shifts smoothly and stops just fine. We recently changed the oil, oil filter, transmission fluid and filter, plugs and air filter. We purged the brake lines and installed fresh fluid. The air condition works and blows cool and still has R-12 Freon in the system. The interior is really well preserved with minimal flaws as you can see from the pictures. The car had a respray back in the 80's and the paint still looks really nice. There are several places that could use some touch up and detail work to make it perfect. The left rear quarter has a small dent from a backing up incident by us. We're including a new piece of the damaged quarter panel trim with the car. All minor issues considering this is a 49 year old car.
Everything on the car works as it should except the fuelgauge. The clock works but does not keep time. The exhaust will need a donut gasket. The car runs nice and strong, doesn't smoke or leak, shifts smooth and stops just fine. The 5 Good Year tires are like new with no dry rot.
We have over 400 pictures of this vintage classic so you can see the true condition of this beauty. The links are below. We have not washed or detailed it. The estate heirs told us they could remember the car had only been washed twice in the last 25 years. This is your chance to own a vintage classic at a great price. Ask any questions and make us an offer!! You never know!!
