ALL front suspension while apart was sand blasted and painted professionally with por15 paint and is completely sound. I have pics of this process but you can see its been done. I didn't keep the receipts for the front end componentry either because you can see its all been done and is brand new.
I replaced the exhaust gaskets while installing redhead steering box, underside has been undersealed to protect from VA winter weather, have attached pics of the truck before hand to show i wasnt covering up anything i didnt want seen
Previous owner had it for like 14years, I have had it since the middle of december
previous owner had it painted, no rust is coming through it is in great nick but the guy who done it didn't do a very good job on the stripes which is noticeable close up. a good 10 footer job, definately more an unrestored survivor truck condition
previous owner also said he had the heads valve guides and seats done and freshened the engine but he gave me no receipts for these items. it does NOT blow any smoke though so I believe him.
Previous owner had heater core replaced and the heater does work.
Previous owner put headers on it
Radiator looks to be new
Previous owner replaced rear springs with stiffer ones
Door window fuzzies could use being replaced because they leak air while driving, I just haven't got to it and may as-well leave that for the new owner to do.
When i got the truck it was on antique tags and so i had rebuilt it and put proper tags on it with an inspection so you know it is safe and in great legal condition because I intended to use it. I had planned on keeping this truck for quite a while hence spending money on it, work was completed around march. It has basically sat because I haven't needed it nearly as much as i thought to justify keeping it, for the little I have needed this truck I may as-well rent a U-Haul when I need one.
cracked windscreen pic is the reason for the new windscreen included, I got it thinking it wouldnt pass inspection, apparently it was ok though because it doesnt go through the drivers line of sight so i just figured it hasnt gotten worse so why bother switching them yet
With the front end all brand new this truck has NONE of the bad handling and riding characteristics these trucks are known for (bad handling is because they're all flogged by now).
Doesnt blow smoke, rear end isn't noisy.
I will put up more pics and a video of it running later in the week.
I would like cash on pickup, if you want to pay through paypal the truck will remain with me till the money clears,
truck is listed elsewhere so this listing could stop at any moment
ask any questions you need to know about it before offering
