Ford Other 1932 Description
Original all steel 1932 roadster, not a reproduction body. This is the real deal as built by Henry Ford in 1932. 100% original steel including the fenders. Built approx. 25 yrs. ago and has been out of the public eye and in a private collection for approx. the last 10yrs. Has very few miles since it was built and the condition is just like the day it was done. Always stored in a climate controlled private building along with several other very high end classics. We purchased the entire collection and now its time to move this roadster on to someone who will drive the car and enjoy it as it was meant to be.The history of the car as I know it is as follows:The car was originally built by a gentleman in the Portland, OR area. It won the Portland Roadster show just after being completed (I believe this was in 1989 or 1990). After this the car has been in 2 private collections with the gentleman we purchased it from owning it for thelast10 years or so. I have the name of the builder, the painter and theupholsterer of the car.It is a 100% original all steel body on an original 1932 frame that has been completely boxed with custom built x-members. The rear end is a fully polished and chromed Jag independent set up with a polished Kugel independent front suspension. The entire undercarriage is show quality and like I said its hardly been driven since it was completed.
Engine is a 350ci small block chevy that was fully rebuilt when the car was done. B&M supercharger with Mikuni side draft carbs. Trans is a turbo 350 Chev. Like I said these were both brand new was the car was done and it has less than 500 miles on it. I pulled the valve covers and the engine looks like brand new on the top end. Runs great. The Mikuni carbs are a littletemperamental until the car warms up. I didn't rebuild the carbs or anything and I'm sure that wouldn't hurt.
Overall this is one of the nicest real 32 Roadster you're going to find. Even though its an older build the car is timeless and looks as good today as when it was put together. I encourage any potential buyers to come look at the car themselves or have someone inspect it for you.
The car is located in Merrill, IA (about 20 miles N of Sioux City) and can be seen at any time during the auction. Simply contact me and we can set something up.
