Ford Mustang 1969 Description

1969 Ford Mustang Mach I
1969 Ford Mustang Mach I

Presented here for your consideration is this gorgeous 1969 Ford Mustang Mach I. This is a factory Mach I, not a clone or tribute car. This particular Mach I is an M-Code 351W 4v car, with Automatic FMX Transmission. It has been a California car it's entire life and it still wears it's original Blue and Gold California License Plates.

Wearing the optional rear window louvers, blacked out hood treatment, front and rear spoilers and Mach I chrome styled steel wheels, this car looks the part of a menacing muscle car!

Under the hood is, what is believed to be the original "born with" 351W 4v V8. We have inspected the car and with reasonable certainty can surmise that both the engine and FMX automatic transmission have been rebuilt and were done very well. The engine maintains great oil pressure, whether cold or at normal operating temperature. It does not smoke or overheat. It starts easily, without much effort. A fun bonus is that this car features a rare, aluminum Shelby intake manifold that was added by a previous owner somewhere along the way, along with a Carter AFB 4v carburetor and Cobra Valve Covers. Under acceleration, the tires will spin easily off the line. The car pulls a straight line with impressive power. If you keep your foot in it, it will bark the tires in second gear and it does seem that a shift improvement kit has been installed.

Original mileage and mileage since rebuild are unknown, however the car seems to be in excellent mechanical condition. There are no leaks or known issues. The same can be said for Electrical Items. We photographed the car so that most of the electrical system / lights and gauges can be clearly seen in functional condition.

-PLEASE NOTE- The gauge lighting was photographed in a low light setting and the gauges do not appear that bright during the day. As you will see in the photos below, it appears that it was day time when those photos were taken, however it was dusk and the setting on the camera was set to low light, which makes everything seem brighter.

Additional options on this car include, Power Steering and Power Brakes (Factory Disc in the Front, Drums in the Rear) as well as Air Conditioning, which is functional.

The exterior of the car is sharp looking, in Pepper Gray Metallic. Featuring all of the Mach I specific goodies, including side stripe, you really can't ask for a cooler, stock looking Mach I. While not a perfect 10 show car, it is certainly a strong 8. No rust issues have been detected on the car and it has been a Southern California car since new. Chrome and trim are in good condition, tires have over half life left on them, the windows go up and down without issues.

Inside the car looks to have either super nice original, or very nice but not newly restored interior. Everything is order, no rips or tears in the upholstery or console lid. Those are usually pretty beat up. All of the interior lights and gauges look to work. The AM/FM Stereo works and the seat belt warning light and ignition key light work, as do the electric wipers. The only thing that does not appear to work is the clock - and they never do.
