Ford F7 1948 Description

1948 Ford F7 "Big Job". Flat Head 8cyl. Fair condition. Does start, run, shift through the gears, and the PTO for the dump bed works. Hydraulics are in good shape, tires are in poor condition. Some rust near each fender (front).

This was an old grain truck we bought years ago to restore and use on our small farm in Southern, OH. Saw minimal use before we decided to restore it and use it as a parade truck. The truck has been barn kept since 2005, and currently resides in our small barn.

Pictures show current condition of the truck (started restoration), but all parts are there.

BONUS: I am including four extremely rare two-piece OEM Firestone rims. The truck currently has 6 "widow maker" rims on them, with bad tires. If you don't know what widow makers are, look them up. It took me 2 years to track down these "option" rims for the 1948 trucks. They are yours with the truck and are valued at nearly $1,000 by themselves (includes tires.

Known issues:

-Leaking radiator hose.

-Bad Battery (6V). Will work if jumped.

-Temperamental aftermarket electric fuel pump. Have the original pump.

-Small/slow hydraulic leak.

-Older 6V electrical system.

Good:

- Uniqueness. Cannot find these trucks anywhere. They were all worked to death.

- Most parts for F1's (cab mostly) will fit F7's. Many reproduction F1 parts still available.

- A set of non-widow maker wheels.

-Solid, straight frame. Solid, straight cab,

- Lincoln 8cyl. (OEM for F7 & F8's)

This truck must be trailered to where your will store it. It drives, but I would not take this on the open road. Tires and Brakes are too old; drive it around your property all you want, but keep it off the streets until you have gone through everything.

This item is also being listed on Craig-list, locally. I reserve the right to end the auction early if it is sold locally. Buyer responsible for arranging and paying for transportation of the truck. Deposit of $250 required within 48hrs of end of auction.

I have an Ohio title (clear), and some old records for the vehicle.

Let me know if you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them as best I can.

**Electric "temperamental" fuel pump has been replaced with a new electric fuel pump. Have the old vacuum pump that will go with the truck.
