This is one of the nicest Ford Mustang Eleanor GT 500 recreations in the World. Everyone who knows Mustangs knows the custom-built Gone in 60 Seconds Eleanor – and this car is a stunning recreation of that famous Carroll Shelby original! This car started from a solid, alifornia body 1967 Mustang Fastback and has been worked and tuned to the deep blue beast you see here.
The Shelby Mustang is a higher performance variant of the Ford Mustang which was built by Shelby from 1965 to 1968, nd from 1969 to 1970 by Ford. In the world of collector cars, he Shelby name is synonymous with extreme performance and collect ability.
Finished in a Acapulco Blue Metallic with White Pearl metallic stripes, he paint job shows brilliantly with only minor imperfections visible upon close inspection. The body is equipped using a light weight fiberglass Eleanor body kit. These pieces include the front valance-air dam, he hood, he rear deck lid, he rocker box covers and the fender extensions. There is a horizontal crack in the fiberglass, eft front fender. The body color rear bumper has a very good fit and finish that shows well and continues the “Eleanor” theme. All trim pieces are present and have a brilliant finish with very little hazing or dents that we could see. The weather stripping is still very pliable with very little shrinkage or drying. The headlights and front mounted running lights “Smoke tinted” taillights are in very good condition with no hazing or cracks and operate as designed. Eleanor aluminum exhaust tips and Cobra GT500 gas cap. The 17-inch wheels show extremely well with very little marring. Included are Edelbrock installation, peration manuals and restoration receipts totaling over $26,000 (including receipt for a $14,500 engine!)!
Inside, he new interior features rich black vinyl seats all look great with some very slight signs of wear. Excellent matching carpet throughout the interior. The door panels and dashboard (with aluminum insert panel) are matched perfectly with the seats of the car and look fantastic. All gauges (including correct tachometer!) are ergonomically place have correct appearance and function as originally designed. an added bonus is a Chapman Security Systems vehicle protection. The wooden Shelby Mustang steering wheel and center console are in great condition. The original equipment Mustang AM radio with 16x 9-inch SDX Pro Audio speakers operates as designed.
This nicely represented Eleanor tribute is equipped witha upgraded estimated 507hp Ford 390 stroked to a 446 cid V8 engine, delbrock Pro Flo 2 programmable fuel injection, delbrock high rise intake. Cobra finned oval air cleaner, obra “Le Mans aluminum finned valve covers, luminum radiator, oploader 4-speed manual transmission, urst shifter with white knob, power steering, ower assisted 4 wheel vented disc brake, ustom side exit exhaust and limited slip rear differential. 17-inch Halibrand style alloys, obra knock-off hub centers caps and staggered BF Goodrich radials.
Detroit may have created the “Pony-Car”, ut Hollywood made the Eleanor! But this ultra high performance Eleanor does her own driving, o stand-in needed! Even the most educated Ford enthusiast would have a difficult time telling the difference between this car and a seven figure movie original! GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!
