Ford Pinto 1971 Description
1971 Ford Pinto – modified 4 cylinder, high lift cam, headers, cat-back exhaust, 4 speed manual, tachometer on the steering column and oil press and volt meter under dash. 25 MPG around town. I replaced the front rotors and “square” after market wheels with 13” 4 lug sand blastedPinto wheels with baby moons. Rides great. My only other repair is a new fan belt. No A/C - No power steering or brakes. Has disk front brakes. Pop out back windows. Everything works.
I would not hesitate to drive this car (at moderate speeds- 65 MPH or less) anywhere. Come get it and drive it home.
I get many more thumbs-up for this car than my 1948 Ford street rod. If a show car is a 10 this Pinto is a 9.8. If you want to street rod it (a sacrilege!) you can drive it until you are ready. Could be a daily drive as it is. Remember you will save thousands on new paint and new interior. The dash is a 10.0. It has a 9.5 (original?) interior and 9.9 new paint. This is not “A PROJECT!” Not a barn or woods find. I cannot find any rust or repairs on the body. A frame off should be very easy with little repair work, but not needed. Appears to have lived in a garage most of its life.
I have more pictures - just ask.
