Ford Model A 1931 Description
I want to start off by asking you to please call forhonest answers BEFORE you bid. Or better yet, come by and look at the vehicle or have someone inspect it for you. I do the best I can describing my vehicles and I include very good pictures that can be expanded. I do this to try and avoid any misunderstandings. It is impossible to list every little item on a vehicle that may or may not beimportant to a buyer. Thanks. Also, please read thepayment section carefully. Iwill not vary off of what isexplained there. Cashiers checks may have hold put on them by my bank. My bank will give me a letter of how long the hold will be. I will forward a copy of the letter to you. The length of hold depends on the bank that it is sent from. Some smaller banks cantake up to 10 business days. The car will not leave here until my banksays the check has cleared. No exceptions. That is why I like wire transfers and cash.
This is a super cool Ford Model A street rod that gets great gas mileage too. It took second place in Street Rodder Magazine's best 100 street rods in the whole country back in 2007. I have the magazine to prove it. Only 2,695 miles have been put on the car since it was built. Drives like new. Unlike many Model A street rods, this one was set up with a tall person in mind. I am 6' tall, around 230 lbs. and I have no trouble driving it. Verycomfortable fit and ride.
Body: Original Henry Ford Steel. Super straight andalwaysrust free. Top is chopped 4". All new tinted safety glass and all 4 side windows roll up and down for good air flow. Front windshield swings out like it should. Original steel 1932 Ford grille. Super slick show quality paint. Top was done as original. One very small blemish on it. ( see pic ) BLC headlights. 14 gallon gas tank by Tanks Inc. Doors close like new.
Interior: All new, very cool, and period correct for a hot rod from the 60's. All new interior wood. All of the stewart warner gauges work. Horn works with thehorn button on the steering wheel as it should. Original key lock and power switch is still used. No headliner. 1940 Ford steering column and steering wheel.
Chassis: Original frame Z-6 rear. Front Model A wishbones split and lengthened. Rear suspension is Model A wishbones split and modified with buggy spring and modern shocks.Front is a 4" dropped Magnum front axle with buggy springs and modern shocks. 1940 Ford frontjuicebrakes with cooling scoops. 1948 Ford rearjuicebrakes. New Firestone reproduction tires. 1940 Ford front wheels 16x4. Lincoln rear wheels 16x5.
Driveline: Economical 1971 Ford Pinto 4 cylinder engine and C-4 automatic transmission. Bothtotally rebuilt. Holley Carburetor. Offenhauser intake manifold. Electronic ignition. Custom built header. Straight exhaust pipe. The custom made brackets, mounts, trim pieces are way over the top in quality andappearance. It is not a high performance driveline by no means, but it is super cool and economical.
All in all, this is a super cool ride that will get you wherever you are goingand back. You won't get there in a hurry, but you willdefinitely arrive in style.
This is a great cruising street rod that can be driven long distances with no issues. Fly in and drive this one home.
I know I am forgetting something here, so call forquestions and more details.
I have a clear Missouri title that is in my name and it matches the VIN tag.
I will not give out my reserve price. Please do not ask.
NO TRADES, PLEASE DO ASK ASK.
You can make a reasonable offer if you wish, but I will not end the listing once the auction hits thereasonable reserve price.
Now for the business end. I encourage you, or someone you trust or hire, to come by and check out the vehicle in person. I will refund your deposit if the vehicle does not match the abovedescription. The vehicle does not leave here until all funds clear my bank. Bank and cashiers checks can take up to 10 business days. My bank will give me a letter stating the date when the check will clear. I will forward a copy of the letter to you. Bank transfers can take up to 2 days depending on what time of the day it is initiated on your end. Again, my bank will let me know when it clears. Cash is great if picking it up in person.
