Ford Model A 1929 Description
The car is complete with shiny chrome bumpers near new paint and, arpets and reconstructed leather upholstery. It has chrome wheels with fat tires and dropped spindles for a hot rod stance. It is a triple trophy winner this summer. This is a rumble seat roadster, It was factory built for FORD in 1979 to sell in dealer show rooms. FORD contracted with the Model A, odel T Motor Company (later Shay Motors) to build these replicas for dealers showrooms to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1929 Model A. The factory equipped this one with a FORD automatic transmission, ydraulic disc brakes, ndependent Mustang2 suspension, ack and pinion steering, urn signals, eat belts, nd an overhead cam 4 cylinder FORD engine. The engine is been slightly modified but the basic engine is what came in Fairmont, ustang2, ercury Bobcat, into, nd Ranger. It has modified Weber carburation, xhaust header, nd has been desmogged as a 1929 FORD would have been. The car has a total of 36,600 miles. It was previously owned by a radio station that used it for publicity, arades, tc. The paint is like new as is the upholstery. it has a neat sophisticated appearance and unlike most street rods is ultra quiet and understated. For better room and driver comfort the seat has been moved back by relocating the seatback bulkhead and remodeling the seats. it is impossible to tell where the work was done. For drivers in 1929, he Model A was a tight squeeze and had an uncomfortable driver position. The shifter and clutch locations punished the driver. This car interior looks authentic but is now totally comfortable. The driver ergonomics are now comfortable for drivers over 6' and +200lbs. Getting in and out through the small '29 doors will always be tricky. The automatic transmission can be held in gear and shifted up and down manually. The car is in a climate controlled garage in Beaverton Oregon. The registration identifies it as a 1929 FORD and the title shows it as a 1929 FORD "replica". The buyer can arrange the shipping. I would be willing to deliver it within a 50 mile radius in fair weather after payment via Paypal or cash. Payment is needed prior to delivery, hipping and release of the title.
