Ford Ranger 1991 Description
I purchased this truck back in the fall from a private seller. It had a lot of new parts and I've installed several myself. Included but not limited to: new exhaust system, rand new distributor ($400 expense), ne new tire (the rest in good shape), ew air flow sensor, ew rear breaks, nd other parts I don't know the names of. Early on a professional mechanic told me it would be hard to diagnose a problem we were having because there were so many new parts. (We fixed the issue, tw.)The engine needs some work because it has a head gasket problem. A leak or something. I don't have the knowledge to do it myself, nd I don't have the money necessary to pay a mechanic to fix it. I've already put a lot of money into this truck and can't keep going. This truck is in good shape for its age, ut needs a little work. It would be a great deal for someone that knows how to work on this type of truck, r a high school kid that wants to learn to work on his first vehicle. The truck starts and drives. No transmission problems.
The body has very little rust or damage. The main issue with the body is the tail gate sticks pretty bad and takes effort to get up and down. Again, omeone with know how could fix this. Interior has minor issues that are easy to fix. After-market bucket seats I believe. No A/C. After-market AM/FM radio and CD player.
I've done a lot of the cleaning and fixing up of this old truck but I just cannot keep going. I've got you started...now you can pick up the ball and run with it. This really could be a gem with some TLC!
