Ford F-100 1973 Description
For your consideration is a 1973 Ford F100 XLT Ranger. This truck in 1973 is the modern day equivalent of a King Ranch Ford, t came fully loaded with about every imaginable option back in the day. Coveted 390FE V8 engine, utomatic transmission, /C, eater, ench seat, -track player, LT & Ranger Package, hrome trim, tc. This truck has undergone an extensive 18-month + frame-off restoration however it is not 100% complete. This will give the new owner the opportunity to “button-up” the truck and then enjoy it as a daily driver, railer king or show truck. The body was 100% disassembled, ody off frame, he entire body was media blasted so it is 100% rust free, he BASF two tone paint was professionally done. We inherited this vehicle after the owner became ill and decided he did not have the time or desire to finish his labor of love. We are selling this vehicle as-is and have represented every nook and cranny of the truck so you can see all the beauty top and bottom as well a few areas that need completion. You will note the following items that need attention, ody mounts need to be secured, river door handle needs to be replaced, river door inside panel needs to be mounted with new clips, ome trim needs to be tightened up, he glovebox door needs to be installed with a few screws and the glovebox insert needs to be installed, t is included. We are including some extra new trim pieces as well. The fit and finish is about the same as it was in 1973, ot a modern truck with perfect fit and finish but a true vintage truck in a very original presentation. The custom bench interior and carpet are matching. The paint colors are 1973 era correct but not the original paint codes for this truck. All the glass is in good or new condition, he windshield is new with no cracks, ullseyes or chips. The tires are brand new with 5 miles on them at most. The truck runs and drives however the steering column needs inspection and securing, t is not what I would consider road worthy although I have driven it down the block and it drives ok. As with all carbureted engines when they sit they run a little rough. This truck needs to be driven although it fires up with the touch of the key it will run better after it had been driven for a while. The amount of body and paint labor spent on the restoration of this truck is a fraction of the asking price. This truck is perfect for the buyer who wants a 1973 Shortbed F100 and likes and knows how to tinker with it and button up the loose ends. We anticipate that odds and ends parts budget would be less than $200 and skilled labor of 10-15 hours will complete this project. Please enjoy the 150+ library of photos.
