Ford Mustang 1965 Description
Up for auction is a beautiful 1965 Ford Mustang fastback. It is a true 289 car with manual transmission. The original color is poppy red with black interior. It was a 1966 Shelby replica then added the 16x7 front and 16x8 rear torque thrust II wheels and the cowl hood to look more like a restomod. The car has a healthy 302 mild build with Edelbrock intake, olley carb, ild cam, eaders that hook up to flowmasters and dump after the rear axle and it sounds great. The motor is very tight and it just had a tune up and a new fuel pump put on. It is backed by a toploader with a Hurst shifter. Also had a new fuel tank installed. The body looks nice and straight but the paint has some blemishes and chips as shown in the pictures. The car has been patched at some point in time not by me and looks like the rear frame rails, parts of the floor, inner fender wells, nd the bottom of the quarter panels. The car is black and has a nice set of green shelby stripes down it. Because the hood was put on after there are no stripes on hood. This car looks awesome but by no means is this a show car. The interior is in very good condition with an aftermarket gauge cluster, aluminum pedals, nd cobra steering wheel. The headliner has a hole in it. It also has the Shelby rear seat delete but does come with the original fold down seat in very nice shape. I also have a Tony Branda rollbar that comes with the car and a lightly used SSBC front disc brake conversion. The car also has a brand new clutch in it. All the lights work on the car. This car also has not been on the road since 2003 and has been stored in a garage. I would prefer anybody interested please ask any questions they have and if you would like to see the car please contact me and we can set up a time for you to look at it. I have tried to accurately describe this car as best I can. This car is being sold as is and will require a $500 non refundable deposit within 24 hours of end of auction and full payment within 3 days unless something is worked out. Also I recommend not driving car long distances seeing how it has not been on the road in 13 years. Car does run and drive though. This is your chance to own a piece of history at NO RESERVE.
