Ford Explorer 1991 Description
1991 FORD EXPLORER EDDIE BAUER JURASSIC PARK JP05 REPLICA!!!Hi everyone! I am a Jurassic Park movie buff and decided to take on the project of building my own replica JP 05 Explorer. I bought a 1991 Explorer Eddie Bauer last year and began the long process of doing body work, ainting, nd mechanically restoring this beast into all it's JP glory. Sanded the car down myself, as a very amateur rattle can paint job in tri color. Has vinyl JP decals which need to be restuck at places. The car ran and drove perfectly until last week. Had the valve cover gaskets replaced at Firestone Auto Service in Lake Grove, ong Island NY Christmas week with receipt. The next day, he fuel pump died. As of right now, he car is sitting on my driveway and waiting for a new home. I have a written diagnostic from Firestone showing that it needs only the fuel pump. Rock Auto sells them online for $20 and with a couple hours to spare and your own garage, ou can fix it easily. The car is 25 years ol, eeds alot of random work but still runs, rives, tops fine once the fuel pump is replaced. New battery was installed this past summer for $100, ave the receipt from Auto Zone, ew rear tail lights, ave alot of spare parts to include, uch as the Jurassic Park track sensor which should be attached to the front bumper of the car with camera. I also have the screen accurate spotlight which replaces the front right antenna and new Explorer emblems not attached yet. Also included are new seat covers for the front. Listed below are the things the car needs. The headliner is rough, hould be just peeled off. The rear seats are worn as well.Good:
Jurassic Park paint scheme
New valve cover gaskets done on 12/23/15 with receipt for $580
New battery from Auto Zone with receipt for $94, year guarantee
Many JP parts not yet installed including spot light and front tracking sensor with camera
Lots of extra paint left
Kill switch for theft deterrence
New front seat coversNo accidentsClear title
Bad:
Needs a fine grit sanding to even paint out a bit more, ill include a bunch of sand paper
Needs interior headliner
Decals need to be re-stuck at some places
Rear passenger door doesn't open
Needs a fuel pump (super cheap)
Car turns over, ill not fully start because of dead fuel pump. Can be easily done with a couple hours of labor in your own garage. The car odometer reads 55,000 miles because there are only 5 slots for mileage. It has 155,000 miles but rolled over at the 100k mark. So no odometer discrepancy.
Don't have the time anymore to work on this fun project.
Great base to start with. Fully functioning transmission, otor is perfect.
I am very active on the Jurassic Park Car forums, oved this build.
Clean NYS title ready to go.
WILL NEED TO BE TOWED.Located in Lake Grove on Long Island, Y. About 1 mile from SUNY Stony Brook University. No warranties written or expressed. The car is sold as is, here is.Full payment expected within 48 hours of purchase. Thanks for your interest! Feel free to message me with any questions!
