I would drive it to California tomorrow. 18 MPG combined and 24 MPG on the highway (65 & under) It really like to cruise at about 70-75!Appraisal ($24,800) available on request.

UPDATEOK, everal questions keep coming up and I keep forgetting to check the box that posts the questions and answers. So here we go:
Rust. The frame rails and rockers are in good condition. There was a floor pan repair by a previous owner that was done OK. There are 3 spots that will eventually need addressing, he first is in the trunk, couple of small holes, o pervasive rust. One of the torque boxes will need two patches at some point, till structurally sound now. Why am I selling? I don’t want to. My wife, hough warned of what a driving restoration would be like, s pushing me to get another vehicle. One that I can haul stuff from Home Depot, ake stuff to the dump, ut the dogs in the back and luggage on the roof and take a long trip, nd pull the boat. When I suggested a 1969 Pontiac Lemans wagon while she was chopping an onion, thought she was going to come at me with the knife she was holding. (See the picture added, ow tell me that wagon is not cool!) I also have a 1960 Studebaker pickup that was my dad’s (learned to drive on it) currently disassembled in my brother’s barn. If I’m ever going to get it put back together, can’t be spending money/time on the Mustang. Why keep it a six cylinder, hy not drop in a V8? It handles WAY better with the inline 6 and with the performance build (go to cliffordperformance dot com and classicinlines dot com to get an idea of what this engine can do/be) that I’ve done it sounds great, ets good mileage and has very good power. This is a cruiser not a dragster, ut it has a great amount torque to get you from stoplight to stoplight. I can do without the 8 mpg monster because I drive this car to work every day, bout a 40 mile round trip. With the 5 speed it keeps up with traffic with ease and gets about 24 mpg on the highway if I keep it 65 mph or below. How did I put the modern disc brakes on? I used the Mustangsteve GT kits for front and rear. These are powerful brakes, arge rotors but they are manual brakes. If you wear a skirt, ou can “upgrade?” to power brakes for around $500, ut I like the manual brakes because it makes threshold braking easier. What’s threshold braking? To long to go into here, o to drivefast dot net and read about it. You do have to use your leg not just your ankle but once you get used to it it’s second nature. What’s wrong with the car? Tons of stuff! But it’s all little stuff. Next on my list: Adjusting the windows and top. The top is new and I’ve got new seals as well but adjusting the windows is a pain and takes time and my wife won’t let me spend more time and I don’t want to spend more time on it. The backup lights are not connected. It needs a front end alignment but I was waiting to put new tires on it. I like the 245/45/17 size better than the 225/50/17 that I have on there now. It needs tires but people get funny over performance level and brand so I was waiting. As of about a week ago I caught a rock in the windshield and have a nice star now. I was just going to get glass doctor to fix the star but as I looked at the windshield I thought about replacing it. We can negotiate that. One eagle eyed dude saw I had the AC lower dash, he AC compressor under the hood but no AC vent in the dash cap and didn’t list AC as a feature. I have all the original parts for AC except for the dash cap. A new dash cap made with factory tooling is about $375 and with the right price I’ll throw in the AC components I have. Now for all you people out there “working under the auspices of” no I will not cash your certified check and send you the overage. No I will not get you an insurance quote. No I do not need help selling. And to the guy sending me pictures of naked Russian women, don’t know how you keep finding my ad but you can keep sending the pictures…On Jul-01-15 at 14:30:59 PDT, eller added the following information:Pick a mechanic in Raleigh, ary, r Durham NC and I'll take the car to him so you can get a third party opinion before you bid.
