Ford Ranchero 1963 Description
Exceptional 1963 Ford Ranchero
I have had dozens of Fords in my collection over the years and this is one of the most fun vehicles I have ever had. Here is a list of just a few of the features for your review:Very Rust Free Body – This vehicle has never had rust in the floors or anywhere else for that matter. The floor pans are exceptional as is the uni-body
Has a mild 289 with two AFB 4 Barrel Carbs with progressive linkage. Updated cooling system. Exhaust Manifolds – no headers
New T-5 Transmission installed with new hydraulic clutch and all new parts. Kit supplied by Modern Driveline the pioneer in 5-speed conversions. New Driveshaft. Not a junkyard conversion
Power Steering with steering box conversion not the original slave cylinder set up
Manual Disc Brakes on Front and Drum on Rear
8” Rear end – ratio unknown. 4-Link with Coil-overs and track locator
Custom Front and rear wheels – American Salt Flat Specials. 15X4 Front and 15x7 rear – New Tires (White Painted Steel GT Wheels and Tires go with vehicle)
NOS Taillight Buckets and Lenses
NOS Gas Cap ($300.00)
Straight and great chrome on Bumpers
Reconditioned Grill and one NOS headlight door. Other one is decent
Bed Perimeter Moldings Polished and Plated
Bed sprayed with White Bed-liner Material
New Windshield
New Bucket Seats – Original set I found to replace the bench seat. All new seat foam new seat covers and side trim in correct pattern. New Carpet and Matts. New Deluxe Door panels and arm rests. New scuff plates and floor side scuff panels. Could use a new headliner
Dolphin instruments. Everything works except turn signals (needs turn signal switch) and the horn (no horn button on custom steering wheel
Paint is decent. I would give it a 7 on a 10 scale. Has a few imperfections and a very old pin stripe job. I take it to a few local shows and it does well.
Sits right with lots of attitude looks right and drives well
