Ford F-250 1973 Description
Up for sale is a wonderful example of Ford's flagship farm truck. This standard cab, long bed, 2wd has the original 390 2b, 4 speed manual set up. We purchased this truck from a Farmer in North Dakota a decade back and have only put a few thousand miles on it driving on the occasional weekend. It's a time capsule, with stickers from maintenance and large mud flaps from the local ford dealership which maintained it before we purchased. The headliner is still in place, there is a crack in the dashtop from age, the steering wheel is cracked and the horn doesn't work. All interior (including glove box and turn arrows)and exterior lights are functional, including the dimmer function. I added oil pressure and water temp gauge below the dash. The tires are in great shape, at least 7 years old but with virtually all tread and little wear. The frame is very nice, no rust issues and all trim remains in place. Lots of patina, no sizeable dents (except on the lift gate - there are a couple dings on the top of the gate), but that's what it looked like when we bought it and I haven't changed anything. I have the air conditioning parts from the engine but they have been off for at least 10 years. There is minimal scale on the truck, some scale at the bottom of the bed in the far rear, behind the bumper (quarter on each side - feels soft but not through). Bed is clean and original, all running gear, etc. appears original. The stainless trim is all there, some dings and dents on trim pieces but entirely presentable. Hi Low switch works. Runs and shifts very well. Disc brakes on front and drum on back, it will pull anything you connect to it and stop nicely too. Steering is a little loose but drives nicely. I drive it regularly around town and on the occasional 50 mile jaunt to an auction or car show and it has never let me down. The interior trim is all in place, original door interiors and floor material. This truck would be an easy restoration for a show vehicle or drive as is for many years. Original jack under the hood, air cleaner, etc. I encourage any interested parties to inspect or ask me for other specific photos and I'm happy to provide.
Starts right up, runs well, doesn't blow smoke, original radiator doesn't leak but there are drips under the truck after sitting for a bit. Oil and fluids changed every year. If you have less than 5 or negative feedbacks, you may not get a response.

Thanks for all of the interest and questions. I've added a picture of an original hop cap which came with the vehicle, correct for the era, to be included with the vehicle if the winner desires. All glass is in good shape, just needs a power wash. Thanks again and good luck. Reserve has been lowered and will sell this go round.
