Ford Other 1954 Description
This is painful to sell but I simply cannot keep them all and I have a baby on the way. These pop up every now and then on ebay and auctions around the US - this one is one of the nicest that I have ever seen on ebay. Its simply a must that you click into the photo bucket pictures with 350 high definition pictures of this car. Inside and out so you can see how solid. Pictures of the underside, inside the doors, everything! The 24 ebay pictures do it no justice at all! Please look close, great paint, great parts, this car is a winner. ****I do reserve the right to sell this locally. Actually a very nice gentleman came to look at the car based on an ad for another car I sold. He was interested and I told him I would call him when it goes up for sale. Well I got a new phone and lost his voice mails. So if he sees this, it may be gone. But be assured, if you do buy it now and deposit, the car is yours. Again - just to not make anyone mad, I can sell this local. The pictures and video really speak for themselves. Rare Glass roof and rare 3 speed standard with Overdrive! This car has NO RUST AT ALL! Look at the pictures and see very important stuff such as the PERFECT front cross member (first sign of a solid or not solid 54 Ford). One of the best ways to see how rust free a 54 Ford is by looking at the front cross member. 100% totally dry car! This car is as solid as can be! Please see the 200+ photo bucket pictures. You can see the details and the attention this car has received. If you are looking for a super nice, show stopping 54 with a glass roof for under 40k, this is it. Check out all the pictures. I have many of the top side and underside. Many of the car on the lift etc. Be sure to check them out! These pictures were just taken this week. The only changes are rear bumper bolts. If you look close, I was in the middle of putting new rear bumper bolts in so there are nice ones on the car now. I had two out during pictures. OVER 300 HIGH DEFINITION PHOTOS! Please look at this link in Photbucket to see just how clean this car is.Click here for over 200 high definition 54 Ford Photos in and out You may have to copy and paste if it doesn't click. Coolant FlushVideo of the car driving and showing items working:Click here to see a walk around, function and driving video of the 54 Glass Top! You may have to copy and paste if it doesn't click. The car is still 6 volt and all lights, gauges, signals and blower motor work just as they did when the car was new. I have found when you have a properly working 6v system, there is no need to change to 12v. The battery is an upgraded 8v which was made to run with the 6v system. Great upgrade. Even the heater fan works on this car like new which seems to be rare on these 6v systems. Blows heat very well! If you have ever been in an original 54 Ford with a 239 you will know that engine left a lot to be desired. Late 54 Ford introduced the next Y block, the 272 which was a major upgrade. This car has a late 54/early 55 272 engine. The engine is an upgrade yet not technically unoriginal. A few late 54s had the 272 so that's why this engine made it in and not a 292 or 312. Even the factory heat riser still works as it did when new. An upgrade was needed but not too far to make the car incorrect. Ford engines are not vin specific and this is the correct era engine. It is dressed exactly how it should have been in 1954. It runs very well and breaths through a stock style exhaust system and sounds very good! The car did have its original exhaust system in tact but there were some areas where it was degrading. So I replaced from the muffler to tail pipe. It sounds very nice! I still have the original tail pipe from when the car was new. Driving a 54 Ford is a dream, driving a 54 Glass Top is a privilege. Even the spare tire is a new Coker wide white. The wires are original style down to the color wrapping. What was original and nice stated on the car where possible. When something wasn't as nice as it could be, it was replaced with a Ford part or an NOS Ford part. The could eventually use the snaps and sun shade that go on the interior garnish. I never had any desire to get that. When I got the car there was an old snap shade in the trunk but the garnish never had new snaps put in. Something like that didn't matter to me as I only drive the car a few miles to the car show so I wasn't concerned. This is one of the nicest glass top cars under 40K for sale. I hate to sell it but with a baby on the way and so many other cars, a few have to go. The car is super nice and one of the best glass tops I have seen on ebay. However it is 61 years old so its sold as is with no warranty. Buyer is responsible for transportation. You MUST transfer the title before you take the car. You Must have your own plate. If you are far you MUST have shipping or transportation set up. I did my best to describe and you have pictures and video. I am not guaranteeing anything, providing shipping or supplying a warranty. I bought this car, put it in my collection now its for sale. Im willing to sell it a little undervalue but I wont give it away. I can keep it for another season or trade it down the road if it doesn't sell. This kind of car is really for someone who is looking for this type of car.... Every car I have sold out of the collection people have been over happy and say I didn't do enough stating how nice the car is. My taste is a bit different. I can see issues with just about any car out there. My type of car is a concours 100 pt. Perfect car. This car is not a 100 pt car but better than what most people consider a show car. To me, a show car isn't a show car unless it has had a full rotisserie perfect restoration by a pro or untouched.
