Ford Mustang 1967 Description
Up for sale is a 1967 Mustang S-code GTA Fastback. Pictures may seem a little deceiving but this car is totally rust free! Yes, t needs some work but sure beats working on a rusty one. Any car enthusiast could confirm that. California fastback that I purchased many years ago and haven't gotten around to redoing this one. This car isn't even dreaming about rusting. All seams and problem areas are super clean. This car would be media blast and minor imperfections repair (couple of small dents) and refinish. This car was drag raced and they cut out the shock towers to put a larger engine in it and they did a very poor job of it. They ground the panels so thin you don't know whats strong and whats not. They welded brackets on the existing frame rails and installed a straight axle under it but didn't ruin them from being reused. The sub frames have homemade tubes connecting them, ut again these can be removed and maintain the originality. Mostly if you had a hoist, ou could get this back to original in a couple of days. I would recommend replacing the inner fenders just because they ground them thin in some areas but I will leave that up to the next owner. The front inners are removeable as that was what was started to be done. This would also be a good canidate for up-dated suspension without the shock towers. They sell the kits as most people know. Floors are solid and some reinforcing was done to the torque boxes. Again nothing that can't be reversed. Did I say NO RUST? Pretty straight foward what this cars potential is. A Marti report is included and I ordered a new data plate which I will include to the new owner when I receive it. Notice that only 276 had this color and trim combination. All numbers match; Title, ender apron, nd data plate. There is some small misc. parts that are included with this auction. Compare this with what you get with a Dynacorn body and I would choose the original all day long. I don't know who raced this or the history of who owned it, ut there was alot of white Mustangs being raced back in that era so it might have been someone famous? I can help load this on someones trailer but IS NOT a roller but could be made that way. All rust you see is surface rust only. Come take a look before you bid, ou won't be disappointed. There is a California black plate with the car. The side windows and regulators are there. A very good candidate for a Shelby clone. The original drive train is gone but opens the door to whatever drive train you desire. What is in the listing is all that is included. Again, ompare this with a Dynacorn body and you get the real deal here. One other note. 1967 is the only year that had a GTA designation.
