Ford F-100 1963 Description
• Up for Sale is this beautiful• 1963 Ford F100 Short Bed Pick Up Truck. My son and I started building this truck approximately a year and a half ago. Now he has decided that he wants to build a classic 4X4 so we found him a 1966 Ford F-250 4x4. In order to complete his new project he must sell his beloved 1963. • First off. this truck runs great ! The engine runs terrific. the automatic transmission shifts flawlessly. • About 18 months ago was found this marginally running F-100. The body was nearly rust free and the frame was in excellent condition. Being a southern truck we knew that it would be an excellent candidate for restoration • We removed the 6 cylinder engine and standard transmission and replaced it with a 302 V8 engine and c4 automatic. The engine and trans ran great and trans shifted perfectly but my son wanted a "hot rod" sound. so we installed a Lunati hydraulic camshaft kit. We had the heads fully reworked and installed stainless shorty headers and dual exhaust. And at that time we had new water pump. new starter. plugs. plug wires . dist. cap . voltage regulator. olenoid and battery. • Next the c4 tranny shifted great so the only thing that we did to it was a fluid and filter change. • Next we purchased a 9" ford rear end and installed 355 gears and then rebuilt the rear end with new seals and bearings. • Next step was the body shop. We had it painted 70's ford baby blue with antique white as the secondary color. The paint turned out very well. Bright and shiny. • Let me Stress that this is not a frame off restoration and it is not a show truck. It is a very very nice driver that gets endless compliments everywhere he and I go !!! I have many more pics of the truck that I will be happy to text or email. • The interior was the next step. The upholstery is from macs restoration parts. It is the correct material and design for that year. When it was upholstered we had all new padding installed and the seat turned out fabulously !! 2 weeks ago I purchased the OEM perforated headliner but I'm having trouble installing it. It now has a small break in the corner. It does come with the truck. Also has new visors. • And finally we purchased new 205/75/15 white stripe tires. new classic wheels and Ford embossed dog dish hubcaps. The wheels. tires and hubcaps give it that Classic Look. We installed new brakes. brake lines and wheel cylinders at the time of the tire installation. It still has manual brakes and steering but with the small tires and narrow wheels the truck steers and turns fine. • Here is a list of new parts that we installed at or during the time of restoration and have less than 2k miles on the parts • New paint • New OEM seat and padding • Rebuilt cylinder heads• New camshaft kit • New water pump • New starter • New solenoid• New voltage regulator• New timing chain kit • New stainless headers• New exhaust • New headliner • New wheels • New tires• New dog dish hubcaps• New 355 ring and pinion • New installation kit for gears• New U joints • New ford F100 emblems • New sun visor • New gas tank• New tank lines• New brakes • New brake lines • Probably some things that I'm forgetting also. • All the lights blinkers fan motor. tc work as they should. Speedometer does not work. • Due to its age Alabama does not issue a title past 35 years of vehicle age. In the past I have sold classic vehicles and the few states that require titles I have obtained a affidavit from my Dmv and the other states accepted that. Check with your local dmv to make sure • • This is a southern rust free truck !!!! • A BEAUTIFUL HEAD TURNER • • 100% feedback. • • •
