Ford Mustang 1968 Description
NO RESERVE!Up for auction is a 1968 mustang that weacquired about three years ago. I we did drive it around town for a short while. The wife had a hard time with not having power steering. But any ways we are looking to sell the car, herefore we have pretty much just lost interest in it and wanting to move on. I can tell you that the previous owner had done some type of restore on the car. The interior is in great shape, he headliner is perfect, he door panels look good and from what was told to me the dash pad was replaced new along with the hood, runk lid, lutch, nterior, ront bumper, ew brakes, ront suspension and front windshield, heels and tires. I may be forgetting something. But it does crank up and drive up the road to me just fine. It does have the six cylinder engine which is stock and a three speedmanualtransmission. Its not a speed demon but not much to be expected from this inline six. I like the car but time is starting to show, nother reason to sell now because we are not going to restore it.The Cons: The steering box has play in it which is to expected for its age. The turn signals are not working right for some reason. I noticed and tried to hook up the hood insert signals and still I could not make them work. But the four way flashers work? The dash lights work when they want, think a bad connection because if hit a bump they will flash or go to working again. I can't hook up the speedometer at the dash. I unhooked it to check the dash lights and connections and didn't hook it back up. The car has not been legally on the road with a tag for about a year now. But it does have insurance on it. I do putt it around my neighbor hood from time to time and move it to cut the grass. Also their are rust bubbles under the paint on both the driver and passengers side door panels. It don't seem to be bad. They are about 15/20 maybe more I didn't count everyone bubbles about the size of a dime. I do know the side of the inside trunk area there is rust. And is pretty much common for these Mustangs. I am doing my best to describe the condition of the Mustang.
The Pros, ots of new parts put on the car and it does crank up and drive up the road. I am not sure how long of a trip I would put it on with out going through the safety items. But we had no problem putting 50/60 miles round trip on it when we were driving it. The interior is in great shape and the car is 99% all stock and complete. I think there is one piece of chrome missing on the deck lid. You could put some cash in it to make it better or drive it the way it is! (fix the brake lights first)... Safety Item
Remember you are Bidding/Buying a 47 year old car. Things are to be expected so don't expect a show car or think it should be perfect. You are getting the car the way it is with no warranty. Sold as is where is. Just want to be upfront and honest. Please contact me with anyquestionsthrough Ebay and prefer a number where I can reach you at and we can talk.
I am willing to work with the wining bidder as per pick up time. Its hard to just drop everything and go get a car. There is planinginvolved and we fully understand. All it takes is to contact me and we can work it out. I do not ask for a deposit up front, ust to be paid in full when the car is picked up. I have seen these cars bring good money in not running or in complete condition. This one is complete and has a lot going for it the way it sits. Remember is an older car and work is expected to some degree needed on this car...Its not perfect! I am starting the auction at half of what I paid for it. Please if you are bidding please be able to complete the binding contract that you have entered when you have bid on the car.
Good luck and please any questions please ask away I will get back with you. I am sure I left something out, lease review the pictures and make your own judgment on the car and bidaccordingly.
