This is a 1970 Ford Galaxie XL convertible the owner asked me to list. We were in the same car club for many years and he does not own a computer. He purchased the car in 2000 from an ad in a local AACA newsletter. I recall because I showed him the ad. He bought the car and did some work to it - new gas tank and sending unit, ew shocks, uned up the engine and replaced the distributor. The black convertible top was replaced 4 or 5 years ago - the last time it was down was for a Christmas parade two years ago. The owner seldom drives the car so he has decided to sell it. Everything works in this car - air conditioning, heat, ower steering, ower brakes, ower top, ll lights including the hide-a-way headlights, tc. The owner says he would not be afraid to drive the car anywhere. I know he has taken it on many club runs and the car has never had a problem. The original AM radio has been replaced with a Ford AM/FM radio. The owner will include the original radio and four service manuals for the car (engine, hassis, lectrical and body). The car was repainted one time and that was by the previous owner. Unfortunately the painter did not repaint under the hood, eck lid and door jams. Engine is the original 351W and it does not use oil and it runs fine. The interior is all original. This is a nice survivor car that is very original. The hide-a-way headlights work as does everything on the car

There are XL emblems on the hood and trunk

The bumper guards were on the car when the owner bought it in 2000

It has the original hub caps and P225X75X15 tires with thin white walls

146K miles and car looks, uns great

Crack on dash was there when owner bought car in 2000. It has been stored inside since he bought it. We believe car was stored inside much of its life as the car is very solid.
