Ford Custom Two Door Sedan 1949 Description

This car is a survivor. It is not restored. All original except for normal maintenance. As routine maintenance, just replaced the original brake shoes (just old, ot worn out), heel cylinders and rubber brake hoses. All this was done because they were 66 years old, ot because of wear. Engine is not rusty, hey were painted goldish from the factory. I put some Coker classic wide white walls because the old tires were rotted. Interior is all original mohair. Seats, eadliner and door panels are not worn. (Exception is driver's arm rest is worn and driver's side seat seam needs to be re-stitched.) Everything works. Purchased the car in 1977 from an estate. At that time the odometer was a little over 24,000 miles. We have driven the car very little reflecting the current mileage of 26,700. I have managed to not make this sweet all original car into a hot rod because of it's originality. My self control is at its limit. If I don't sell it, t will become a hot rod, oon.
