Ford Torino 1970 Description
1970 Fairlane 500 |
I really hate to sell this car, which I'vehad for about 10 years now. The only reason I'm selling is I don't want to have to ship it around the world all the time (Air Force Officer). I'm going to miss all the attention I get in this thing. Everytime I drive it, I get compliments and thumbs-up! I had this car professionally painted a year ago and put maybe 100 miles on it since the paint job. This car has been in a climate controlled garage the whole time I've had it, and it was garaged and rarely driven by the owner before me. I went with the Aculpulco Blue and the jet black hood to match the front spoiler I bought for it. The engine compartment was also painted. This paint job was expensive...I had the door jams and trunk painted as well. No bondo! I've made every effort to keep this car in original condition. The dash, carpet, steering wheel, rims and hubcaps, door panels, headliner, etc are all original to the car. I had the seats completely redone with new foam (not simple seat covers, the seatswere redone by an upholstery shop). The shop replicated the original stitching and matched to the same color as the original vinyl. Perhaps, my favorite part about this car is the sound! This has a beefy muscle car sound that just rips! Thanks to long-tube headers and the original 302 engine with low miles, it sounds mean! I don't have cheap cherry bomb mufflers on it, it has the complete long tube header system. Last week, Midas changed the oil and flushed the radiator fluid. She's ready to go! Bottom line: this car fires right up, drives comfortably and straight down the road, is super clean, and gets attention everywhere. Good luck pumping gas with this and escaping from the station without at least one person coming up to you to spark conversation. There isn't an ounce of rust on the underbody or frame either. Trunk and engine compartments are clean. Come by and check it out! I'm located right at the wedge where MD, PA, and DE meet...about 45 minutes from Philadelphia. I will ship the car if the buyer pays shipping. Keep in mind this car is almost 50 years old. It has some little things, like the push button on the passenger door knobfell off, so you have to open the door from the inside. My mechanic was doing an inspection last week and leaned on the front grille and cracked it :( ... I have the pieces in the trunk. It can be repaired. I took the door panel off the driver side to repair the opening mechanism. I fixed it, just haven't put the panel back on. I'll get to that this week. Interior is dusty. I did not clean or detail the interior for the photos.Other than thoseminor things, this car is a dream! Call 302-513-5123 with questions |
