Ford Mustang 1969 Description
I bought this great 1969 Mach 1 from the second owner in 1987. The car's restoration was finished in 1988 and I've been driving and enjoying the car ever since. It starts right up, ever overheats and can be driven anywhere without issue.I bought the car as-is and restored it myself to it's present state from my restoration shop. When the carpet was removed the floorpans were still painted white as well as the under side of the car. There isn't one bit of rust on the car. All the door jams were left in their original White and the exterior was repainted in the original Wimbledon White.
The car was stripped down to bare metal and repainted at Quality body shop in Mulvane, S. The engine was removed and rebuilt completely as was the C6 transmission with heavy duty clutches and shift kit. The rear-end was rebuilt and a new 3.25 Posetrac was installed. The radiator and cooling system was replaced with a 4-row radiator and new heater core. The AC was repaired and charged as well.
The interior is original except for the carpet, oor sill plates and dash pad. The exhaust system was replaced with the style of the 1970 Mach 1 with a muffler on each side instead of the transverse muffler. The brake system was replaced with new booster-master cylinder, alipers wheel cylinders and brake shoes and pads. The front and rear bumpers were rechromed and put back on. the stainless was polished and reinstalled.
The car has a dash tach, onsole, old-down rear seat, ear window louvers, ront spoiler and chrome Cobra 17” wheels with near new tires. The car was restored to be driven and enjoyed, drive it on cruises and to car shows. The car has been featured in Ford's stand at Blacktop Nationals two years in a row.
I have 60+ more pictures of the car, ncluding underneath. For any more photos, ust be sure to ask. I can email them direct. jaywlauer@gmail.com
