Ford F-250 1978 Description

Very solid old pickup with original paint, shows some patina, no hidden bodywork, bondo, or rust, originally from Arizona. 8.2 V8 turbo charged 4 stroke Detroit diesel gets over 20 mpg, was professionally installed by Detroit diesel here in Tucson AZ in early 80's.Just turned over a hundred thousand miles on truck engine has about 75 thousand.

5 speed manual overdrive, NP205 transfer case, 354 gears in Dana 60's front is theoriginal 60for the camper special with high pinion, king pins, and disc brakes. 6" leaf spring lift, with 37" tires showing about 60% in front a bit less in rear. Fold down rearbench seat, Factory stainless tow mirrors

Currently at shop having original split bench seat reupholstered, new carpet, replacing window and door weather strip and felts. Dash pad has sun cracks

Has typical dings, scratches, wear and tear for a 40 year old truck, only rust isvery minimalon right side ofbed floorwhere a tool box was mounted, I may have it taken care of while in the shop.

Truck has A/C but that is currently not working.

I have two other low mile12V cummins engines that could be negotiated into apackage deal, an 8.3 with fso6406 6 speed OD, and a 5.9 withNV4500 5 speed OD, a 78 460/C6, I would also consider selling the Detroit that is currently in this ford.

This truck was used until recentlyas a daily driver by a friend for the last few years, with no major issues, I would not be afraid to drive it anywhere. It always starts right up, drives fine, brakes and steeringfeel good and tight.It is not a show truck but ithas the potentialtobe one, these are pretty scarce and only going up in value. Looking so good I almost hope it doesn't sell.

Carpet, seat, door and window weather strip, LED dome light, pedal pads all just finished. Tape is there to hold the new door seals until adhesive dries. Windows roll up and down very smooth with the new felts and seals. Haven't got the carpet on thekick panels or door bottoms yet.
