1978 Ford Bronco Modified 4X4
Offered for sale by "The Guild of Automotive Restorers" in Bradford Ontario - Commonly known for their hit TV series 'Restoration Garage' On the History Channel!
This truck is a true off road monster. The aggressive look of the tires alone says it all. The suspension has been modified for height and off-road performance. The 6” Graveyard Bronco lift kit and 3” body lift with new aftermarket front and rear springs and 6 BDS Performance shock absorbers speak for themselves. To back up these components, ll new brakes were fitted- front and rear, ncluding hard lines. The steering box was replaced, inkage was rebuilt and all ball joints and tie rods were replaced. Superlift rear traction bars were also installed at this time.
The motor is a 460ci V8 that was professionally built to performance standards; it has been fitted with an aluminum Edelbrock intake manifold, olley 4150 Carb, nd a Motorcraft distributor with Accel silicone ignition leads. The mechanical fuel pump was replaced with new and a number of K&N upgrades were fitted- Crankcase breather, ir cleaner, ront diff breather to name a few. A four-row radiator and thermostat controlled electric fans were installed to keep things cool and running efficiently. Ultra Flow SS headers were fitted to a custom dual exit exhaust to maximize flow from the V8.
The transmission was built to performance specs with a fresh torque converter featuring a 2800rpm stall speed. The trans was also fitted with a B&M shift kit and high volume pan. The front differential is a Dana44 with chrome plated inspection cover. While the rear is a 9” Ford with a Detroit Locker. Warn front locking hubs were also installed.
The body is in great condition, ost panels have been replaced. A short list includes- front fenders, oor shells, uarter panels, rille, ront and rear lights, irrors, loor pans, eather seals and window gaskets. Custom fabricated front and rear bumpers were fitted and include and front and rear winch brackets and a class 3 trailer hitch in the rear. A professionally upholstered vinyl tonneau cover was fitted along with a spare tire bracket mounted ‘baja style’ in the cargo area.
The truck has been painted a ‘dark metallic blue’ with a semi-gloss black insert on the hood.
