Ford Model T 1926 Description
This vintage automobile is in excellent condition and ready for a fine touring season.I acquired this vehicle in a three way trade involving a Pierce Arrow touring car and a White Model 706 Yellowstone Park tour bus.
The owner of the car at that time had previously sold it to an older gentleman friend. The car was a very nice original and he requested that his friend leave the car in the original condition. That request was ignored, some restoration work was done in 2007. The older gentleman passed away and the car was returned to his friend, from whom I acquired it.
The Model T was repainted, reupholstered and a new convertible top was installed. Please note the accessory style hub caps, I do have a set of original hubcaps and could exchange them at your preference. Also included is a full set of side curtains. The overall condition is not show room perfect, it would make a very presentable tour car.
I have owned 6 various Model T Ford vehicles over the years. Fifty two years ago at age 14 I drove a horse and cart all over the rural farm area north of Bozeman, Montana collecting Model T parts, from that collection I built this same model car, a 1926/7 touring and drove the car to four years of high school.
I have owned this car since 2010 and driven the car approximately 500 miles. We live in a rural mountain area, the closest city of size is 30 miles away over a mountain pass with an elevation of 6,375 feet. I have made this journey several times and never had a problem, and in fact the car seems to perform exceptionally well.
Down the road from our shop we have a neighbor who recently celebrated her 100th birthday. One sunny day last summer we took her for a ride in the Model T. She entertained us with memories of moving from Wilsall, Montana to Fairbaux, Minnesota in an early 1920's Model T touring when she was seven years old. Their family of two parents and several children camped out along the way, they traveled with their own potty chair and somehow managed to keep milk cool for the baby. She recalled that the journey extended for over a week. We all had a good time driving around that day.
I can help you arrange shipping.
Would be happy to discuss the car, thanks for your interest, Tracy Kroon at 406.578.2000
