Ford Mustang 1979 Description

I have up for sale a all original 79 Indy pace car.. This is a true 21k car!! Completely 100% unmolested! Original 2.3 turbo 4cyl with a 4speed manual.. Runs and drives great! I still have the factory Clip on sunshade for the sunroof and the leather sunroof bag both in excellent condition! This car is an excellent (time capsule driver) or a very easy restore candidate!

This car very straight and nearly rust free!!!
Paint is not perfect! It's a 79 with all original paint.. But still looks pretty nice! But it does has some sun exposure!! The car is worth more to me without being repainted.. Bottom of doors and hatch are very clean! Frame rails and strut towers are straight and also rust free! There is some rust on the underside of the hood on the supports above the battery..
From my knowledge the front tires are original! Rears have been previously replaced some time ago and I'd suggest replacing all four.. Because of dry rot.. They do still hold air and cruise down the highway fine..
Interior is nice.. But yet again not perfect! The dash and dash pad are perfect! All the plastics are also in excellent shape! But the white dye on the recaro seats is faded.. There is no rips in the material or the foam of the seats!! Vinyl headliner needs recovered..
Please NOTE this car does have the title odometer reading set as "actual mileage unknown* this was from the car being purchased at an estate sale in 1990 with 3125 miles! No one there was able to provide that the mileage was indeed actual!! There is no doubt by looking at the car that it's original miles (in my opinion) title still shows 3125 miles odometer reads 21,xxx
