Ford Model T 1923 Description
This is a Spirit Motors "C" Cab delivery just constructed and painted. It has vinyl murals on each side and lettering depicting Larry Niven's SF book Ring World. If you don't know the book I'm afraid your life has been pretty much a waste and you have missed one of, if not the single most interesting achievement in the history of Western Civilization. You could remedy this but probably won't. Anyway the vinyl has a 5 year guarantee or may be removed with a heat gun leaving blue paint with gold pinstripe. The last photo shows it before vinyl. The car weighs around 1280 lbs and has close to 400 HP so it will remove fillings and make your ears bleed with little effort. It was just completed, starts immediately, shifts hard and comfortably fits people LESS than 6'2" and / or younger than 71. When it hits second my head hits the roof unless I'm ready for it. Probably a younger guy wouldn't have much trouble but I wouldn't go much taller than 6' 2".It's much better than most "T" Buckets for carrying groceries back from WalMart because it has a good sized trunk and most buckets have the gas tank there. The 350 crate Chevy engine has hydraulic lifters and is pretty much stock except for the high rise manifold and chrome carbs, the side pipes and the ignition which is MSD 7A. The Black Mallory ignition didn't work out.As did the 1923 Ford, this truck has only one door on the passenger side. The seats are Spirit and fit perfectly over the battery on the right and fuses and brake master cylinder on the left. Everything is new so there isn't any wear. The radiator has a relief valve and the back area is covered in heavy rubber. It has full instruments and a nice dash. The right door has a pocket for registration and insurance and both are current. It has four wheel disc brakes, a Ford rear end and it's put together just as Spirit recommends building it. The transmission is a new Chevy turbo hydramatic. My house is surrounded by canals of brackish water so I must polish it or it will pick up rust. Looks great, goes like stink, ought to do well in shows.
