I believe I 'm the second owner of this vehicle. I purchased it from the daughter of the original owner. He was a Harley mechanic, and to him this was his pride and joy. He took very good care of it. It had and still does have the couple problems that came with it when I purchased it.
The rear gas tank is not functionable and neither gas guage work, front tank is fine.alsoit has a crack in the windsheild.
While driving this,it ran great. above and beyond on power. it doesn't burn oil an has no fluid leaks.
During last snow storm I was amazed with the acceleration and how it handled with very little sliding...Overall this truck drove great.
Why the Salvage title?
I had this parked on the street and a car, who was fleeing to avoid arrest, was being chased by police came to close to the vehicle and did minor damage from the taillight to the front wheel .I have pictures of the damage.
Unfortunately while parked the front wheel was turned all the way to the left and the car hit the wheel .This forced the front wheel to a straightposition. This bent the tie rods and stripped the gears in the steering box.
The insurance company called it a total loss and settled with me and gave me an option to purchase truck bac, which I did.M, being no mechanic at all i figured it would cost me to much to get this repaired. But some one with the know how and has the time can fix this can do so for very little.
The 10 piece suspension kit for it I found for $60 and the steering gearbox $65.00 .Those are the best prices I found on ebay.
You could have this up and running for $125 in no time.
This is a great truck for someone with a little know how who want vehicle for himself thats nice and will go most anywhere or one to invest and fix and sell. This one is worth the time and effort. If your in the local area and want to see or If you have any questions please send mea messsage.Pictures were taken on 12/8/16Feel free to make an offerThis vehicle is located in reno nvI PREFER LOCAL PICK-UP but delivery is ok if you set it up to be picked up at my residence. If you are having delivered it would be wise tohave an inspection done. I did my best to disclose everything about this vehicle honestly but say I stated "overall in great condition" and you say there are scratches on the gas cap and rust on 2 lug nuts I will not reimburseshipping to and back if you wanted a refund. Should you come pick up and decide you dont like I will give deposit back. I personally see neither of these happening . but just in case!!! I think You'll love the truck
