Dodge Other Pickups 1973 Description
Up for sale is a 1973 Dodge Power Wagon W200. I want to start by saying this is a really neat truck. I got it in a deal with a couple of other cars and I would love to keep it, but I already have more trucks than I need so I am going to let this one go. Since I got it so recently I really do not know much about it other than what I can describe below.
It is a 318 (5.2) V8
4 speed manual transmission
Divorced Transfer case (4 wheel drive works)
Dana 70 (yes, 70) front axle and a Dana 60 rear axle
4.10:1 gear ratio
Power steering
Power brakes
4 wheel drum brakes
5th Wheel hitch
Clear title... Runs and drives really nice, I have put about 40 miles on it since I have had it and it runs nice, drives “highway speeds” (65-70 mph) pretty nicely
It has several new parts on it:
New:
Older tires with excellent tread and 16” steel wheels, NOT the split rim or 16.5” wheels
Starter, Alternator, Rear brake lines, Brakes
Water pump, timing chain, valve cover gaskets
Edelbrock Performer RPM Intake
Edelbrock 4 barrel carb
Belts/hoses, oil change
Fuel filter
Power brake booster, master cylinder
It has lock out hubs from the factory and was NEVER full time 4 wheel drive. 72-74 were the last of this body style to not have the heavy and cumbersome full time 4x4 system.
Starts and runs great.
The body is a little rough, some rust here and there. The cab has had repair panels put in it on the floorboards. The cab corners are nice, the cab mounts are nice.
As far as rust I would say it if 10 were beyond repair, I would call this truck a 3. The underside is clean and pretty rust free. It is not all eaten up under there. The bed floor is rust free; some rust has eaten through the rear wheel wells. Doors are nice, 1 rust spot on the passenger door. The front fenders and engine bay are pretty well rust free. Dents everywhere, it has spent its life as a work truck, but it is solid and runs out great. Feel free to ask questions and I will answer what I know. The driveline in this truck is as desirable as they come in the ‘70’s Dodge’s.
