Dodge Other Pickups 1946 Description

Up For Auction Is this SUPER HEAVY DUTY CUSTOM MADE Dodge 1946 ton and a half Cab on a 1970 Dodge D300 1 Ton 2 Wheel drive Chassis with a 1982 Caterpillar 3208 V8 DIESEL with a Spicer over the road 4 speed Transmission..So was started 30 years ago by the owner to Use to move Small Equipment Around Town He mounted the Motor and Transmission put the Cab on Then Sold his Business back in 1994 truck was moved to a friends place covered up till I Bought it from him in 2012 and have been picking away on it sense . As you can See It Starts Right Up ( He Thinks the Motor was a fresh rebuild when He got it ) Runs Great, Stops Good, Could Probably Pull a House Down !!! I did all New brake lines Master Cylinder, front Wheel Cylinders and shoes I was told rears were good. Gave it to my Buddy who is a Diesel Tech he fiddled with it for 2 months to get it Running and Yard driving then gave it to my other friend Who put in the New Split windshield Glass then a year later had another Buddy do the Side windows and Rear window with a Cool screen Over the Back window as they use to be the Front window Cranks out and works Great drivers side window goes up and down the passenger just stays up did not have the right hardware at the time to get it to work. Seats are from a 1968 Dodge Charger in Excellent condition and I had a real old wide Barn Board cut down to fit to hold the Seats up Over the Storage compartment under it Seats and wood are not bolted down so you can put where you want also have New seat belts in the bag that come with it.I had the Piston Shifter Knob welded on It is Cool . Gauges are out of a 1957 Studebaker they are Real SW Gauges None of the Gauges are Hooked Up But I had a brand New Fuse Box installed and also wired all the lights including the 1930 headlights tail light brake lights ! and GM Tilt and telescopic steering column so turn key starts right up. You just need to finish up wiring gauges and mounting them Easy..Roll Bar was on it when I got it I found the Custom Made Bed on Craigslist for a $ 1000 and got the Original 1940 Dodge Tailgate out of Montana Cost Me $ 900 But that is the look I wanted ! Front suspension leaf springs still just have mock up bolts need to put grade 8's in,Rear end axle's were pulled out to move around before it ran so need to put axle seals in and fill with gear lube.finish putting lug nuts on. So like I said REAL CLOSE to being on the Road just have to Put your finishing touches on it..Drivers Door jamb has the Vin ID Plate in it I have a CT Vin Verification and a Bill of sale ONLY No Title They do not give titles in CT for vehicles over 20 years old...Being Sold AS IS feel free to come out and see it in person I am 20 min outside Hartford CT 06084 .
