Dodge Coronet 1970 Description

Selling a running and driving 1970 Dodge Coronet....This Not a real Super Bee or R/T, but it is a good buildable car that is around 1/2 of what a genuine "Super-Bee" or "R/T" costs.

BODY:

Overall, the body is in prettyrespectable condition. Front and rear frame railsappear to be in good condition. The trunk is there, but it does have some pitting. Interior floors look decent. Hood is solid. Trunk lid is in excellent condition. Doors are nice. Front fenders appear to be in nice shape. Rear quarter panels have some filler in them (but that is to be expected for a 47 year old car in MI).The hood has "Ram-Air" hood scoops. Rear tail panel trim is in decent condition, and is sporting a "Super-Bee" emblem, as is the hood. Front bumpers are in pretty good condition. Rear bumper is in very nice condition!

INTERIOR:

Overall, the interior in in very good condition. The interior has a new headliner andnice carpet. The door and rear panels are in verygood condition. Thedash pad is in excellent condition. The front bucket seats are Mopar, but look like they are from a '72-'74 B-body. Steering wheel is aftermarket, and should be put back to Mopar (in my opinion).

DRIVETRAIN:

The engine is amodified 318" V-8 (possibly numbers matching to the car), and has a bigger cam, headers, aluminum intake manifold, 4-barrell carburetor, and chrome dress up kit. It runs pretty good, but could use a quieter exhaust (in my opinion). It has a rumble like a big block monster Hemi. The transmission does shift through all gears. I'm not sure of the rear end gear ratio. The car steers and stops. It has drum brakes on all 4 corners. I have driven the car around the block, but I have not taken the car on the interstate, so I cannot say how well the car handles at highway speeds. -I recommend towing the car home, and doing a safety inspection before you drive it on a trip. ...The factory Rallye wheels in the pics come with the car. The aluminum wheels in the pics go to another car, butmay be negotiated for if interested.

OVERALL:

This is a great car toclone into that "Super-Bee" or "R/T", without having to spend a ton of money. It does need restored, but can be driven while you restore it. This would make a great Father/Son/Daughter project.
